		<description>All well and good ... IF you work in a library where the administration has not outlawed blogging.  Sure, I blog anyway; but anonymously, sporadically, while hammering home the point that my blog is &quot;unofficial&quot; and while hardly ever mentioning the state I work in (let alone the name of my library!).  Still . . . I&#039;m afraid.</description>

		<description>This is a different sort of comment meant for all new bloggers, not just Librarians.  There are two different issues - (1) people finding the blog the first time around and (2) people coming back for more.  

I believe most of your post addresses (2), but it doesn&#039;t really do much for (1).  For that, most people stumble on a blog via a Google search or because they&#039;ve read about it on somebody else&#039;s site who links to the blog.  For both of those, linking to other blogs and making comments on other blogs are critical.</description>
